Can anyone suggest good hair styling products?

I have a grown out perm at the end of my hair, the rest of it is straight. I flat iron it to tame it. I tired a product that dried out my hair. Can anyone suggest a product that won't dry out my hair? I have one that won't, but I don't care for the way it smells. Thanks.Can anyone suggest good hair styling products?

Use a good leave-in conditioner before applying the styling product. That will keep your hair from drying out.
i dunno wut ya mean by product but the best conditioner that i have ever used is the herbal essences new things the twist....like french lavender twist and stuff like that... awesome!!
I like Sebastian's Potion #9. It coats the hair well and the heat from the hair dryer makes the coating shine and it seals the cuticle. Blowdrying straight with a nice flat paddle brush would most likely work and not dry out your hair. Just a suggestion, good luck!

Okay, So I am getting my hair cut of Friday. I know how I want it and stuff. My layers and side fringe are overgrown, so can't wear it down unless I wear a quiff/pouf. I HATE plaits. mermaid waves/curls would look good on you if you have layerd hair. To get it: Once you get out of the shower, Towl dry your hair. Split hair into 4 sections and braid. Spray with hairspray and sleep in them. When you get up in the morning spray with more hair spray and use a hairdryer on 'hot' to make sure it's completely dry.

Egg Whites, beat them until they get foamy and light weight and spike them, that works without putting on gel which will make it wet and heavy, and gel may cause flaking and it might look like dandruff.

your hair needs some sort of molding enhancer in order to stay in a position it doesn't naturally go. If you're unwilling to use gel, you can use hair pomade or a hair manipulator alone, or use a hair manipulator then blow dry, then hair spray for hold.

There is not a WHOLE lot you can do, but that's OK cause long hair on a guy is really hot. (as long as they keep it clean--greasy stringy just doesn't work) If it is REALLY long, maybe you should cut it to about halfway down your back. That is a good length and tie it back.
To be honest, I don't think there are different hairstyles for men with long hair. At least I don't think the looks will look good. The only thing you can do is just leave it the way it is, and tie it. Guys who have long hair, and tie it look great. If you have really long hair, having it loose is not that great. That is the price for guys who have long hair, because it's always about having it long, and not styling it. If you were to cut your hair, then you would be able to experiment with styles. So, you can leave it long, and not do much with it, or cut it and experiment with other styles.
There isn't to many styles for long hair. I do know that Locks of Love is in need of hair for their cancer patients. So cut that pony tail, donate it, then have your hair styled. A new look %26amp; a new you. You would also feel good about yourself by helping another one out. Think about it.



P.S. I luv long hair on men, my man has a pony tail, its 28 inches long, he has been wanting to cut it for a long time, and I have always said no, but I was driving to work one day this week and over heard that Locks Of Love is in desire need of hair. So we will soon be going to cut that pony tail and he will be able to help 2 people out. Hair has to be at least 10 inches.

When your hair is damp, put good mousse (I recommend mousse from Rusk) in your roots and underneath your hair. Massage it into your hair all over thoroughly. Then blowdry underneath first and with a round brush. When completely or mostly dry, if it looks too volumnous, straighten it. That's usually what I do. Ok this is a good 80's question LOL. Just shampoo hair and condition towel dry...apply mousse scrunch hair from ends to roots running the mousse over the roots as well while you have your head upside down. Can blow dry out ...but I recently got new layers and they used Biggie a Bedhead or Tigi product from Toni and Guy and it works much better.
Mousse works best if your hair is wet. When your hair is dry the mousse doesn't stay as well and your hair ends up a mess. Hence, style your hair with mousse, while it's wet.

There is no best style that is based upon your personal preferences, However there are requirements to how your hair may be worn in the military. If your hair is long then the only option you have is a neat bun, the latest style of bun where you pull you ponytail halfway through the band and leave it is not acceptable, or a french braid. It must be a tight bun and should be worn low on the back of the head so as not to interfere with your head gear but should not fall below the collar of your shirt. The sock bun is great because it is tight and neat in appearance, but also makes it easy to put hair into a bun which might not make a bun otherwise. I have had to use this style as my hair is very stiff and sticks out everywhere if I try any other style of bun. Also you may not use any kind of decorative adornments in your hair, nor should you use an excessive amount of pins to restrain your hair. Finally any pins or holders you use must be a color similar to your hair color, ie. brown with brown or black not gold or brightly colored.





If you chose to go with short hair then it must be cut so that it does not fall below the bottom edge of your shirt collar. Also your bangs cannot cover your eyes whether your hair is long or short and should be such that they will not stick out from under your head gear in the front. I would also recommend short hair during basic training because you do not have much time to get ready. If you don't have to worry about putting you hair up, in addition to everything else you have to do in the five minutes you have to get ready, you will be better off. Also short hair is more convenient when you are on a field training exercise as you don't have to worry about your bun interfering with the fit of your helmet or falling down because you have been crawling around on the ground.





As far as tattoos go, they cannot be visible when wearing the Class A dress uniform with trousers. Other than that it is pretty much your preference as to what you get and where. However, as a suggestion any tats which may be visible while in any uniform should not be offensive.What is the best hair style for female soldiers?
Try the ';Sock'; method if your hair is long enough.


It's where you cut a hole at the end of a sock (use your black dress a/b uniform ones)





1] Roll it up so that it looks like a donut


2] Put your hair into a ponytail; directly on the back of your head works best.


3] Take the ';donut'; and pull the ponytail through it as if it were a really large scrunchie or hair-tie.


4] Bend over and equally spread the hair from your pony tail over the ';donut';. You might need someones help with this because you can't see what you're doing, although some people get pretty good at at.


5] Once you have all the hair equally distributed and there is no black ';donut'; showing through, put a small hair-tie over top to keep the hair down.


6] If you have REALLY long hair, you might have to wrap the extra hair around the donut and put another hair-tie on.

Well I personally found that having short hair just made so much sense in basic. (You could say I have a 'boy' hair cut') I just had to get up and go...while all the other females had to take time to get their hair perfect in like 5 minutes.


In basic, I'd say about 6 - 8 females ended up getting their hair cut short like mine.

I think an asymmetrical Style with a lot of layers , it's what i have right now and i love it because it's so versatile, you can change it with any mood. Also try getting chunky highlights to define them even more, if your allowed to go for a striking color for an undertone like a deep blue or plum allow some pieces of your natural color though.

Make a very low side ponytail. Next use a long skinny scarf as a headband and wrap the ends around the ponytail. Put on some big earrings and make sure your hair and the tails of the scarf are in front of your shoulder. You're all done!

Don't be afraid to let it poof! Get in the shower, skip the shampoo and just condition it. When you get out of the shower, towel dry it just a bit. for days I want some control I use Paul Mitchell's Styling foam. a few things I like to do is put the hair in front of my ears up and leave the rest down. I put a head band between my front and back, it's a little cute. Also, Layers if you don't have them, they make it soo much easier to deal with.

But I think that you should get layers and possibly trim off an inch or two. Nothing super drastic, but it's a change.

this is kick *** hair, i love it and the best thing is when you don't feel like putting gel in it than you can just wear it down and that looks good too. if you have trouble getting this look then go to a hairstylist and you might have to get some layers and they'll show you how to do it .

Hair was cut to the same length everywhere on the head (so i you have too short of hair, or bangs, you won't be able to do these hair styles). To prep your hair, you'll need to curl it (don't use a curling iron). You'll want to use ';Setting Lotion'; when you curl your hair with sponge curlers or pin curls to get your curls to be uniform (let set until dry, or sleep in your curlers). When you curl your hair, you'll also want to do it in layers as indicated on the website (think rows of where you want to put rolls). You'll want a row of curls (curling the hair back) that follows your face around the top and sides.



When styling your hair, don't get frustrated if it takes a while. You will need a lot of hair spray and bobby pins. Even using this, your hair may not do what you want it to do, because it takes a while to train your hair to style the way you want it to.



You'll probably want some waves or curls on the front top and sides, then put the rest of your hair in a hair net or snood (you'll want to brush it out big after you curle it so that it fills the hair net uniformly).



Practice, practice, practice! As you style your hair like this more often, it becomes easier, and your hair easier to manage. I have a friend who does WWII reinacting and she can put her hair in pin curls while driving to work!

Garnai Frutis. I Have frizzy hair affter everything. It i s long, but when it frizzes it looks like I have an affro. I use the sleek and shin produscts. Shampoo, Conditioner, Affter Shower anti-frizz stuff. Try Ganai Frutis. They Woor really well for oily and hard to grow hair. There are some sprays, for this I'm not sure what brands, they are located in the same isle as the shampoos, they will say for frizz control, many women use these, but they work the same on men, one of them are (excuse spelling) Garnier nutrients, in a green round bottle, this one pumps out, you put a small ammount one the hand and work it through the hair.
Try BedHead's ';After Party';.. it just makes the hair really light and soft... It might help tame the frizz.
1) go to a hair place and get some kind of serum


2) buy the shampoo and conditioner called sunsilk they have a kind for every hair need
use conditioner in the shower. there are also ';leave in'; conditioners you can apply to damp hair after showering.





note to the chick who uses pantene- don't. ask your stylist, she should confirm that almost all products, and i know this sounds silly, the start with a ';P'; are bad for your hair. but i've heard this from several sources. i think it has something to do with containing silicone.
I'd look into a anti-frizz serum product -- there are many varieties available in the health %26amp; beauty section of your drug store.
i have the same kind of hair, and i always get ';fly-aways'; for my shorter strands. i got pantene anti-frizz serum. it works really well for me. it's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it, imo.

Well, since your skin is fair you could probably do a medium blonde with lighter blonde highlights or just a really pretty raspberry blonde (i.e. nicole kidman's color). I think the raspb. blonde would look really pretty with your eye color. Since your face is oval, you can choose between medium-long and long; with loose waves, or loose curls that start waving/curling right below your ears. I would say only to wear your hair bone straight once in a while, because of the oval-ness of your face, but waves would look really great on you for everyday wear. (=

Without knowing what you look like, no one can give you a good opinion. The reason is because your face shape has a lot to do with determining what styles will look good on you. What looks good on one person doesn't doesn't necessarily look good on someone else.

My mom has the square face as well and she had such a drab style going on for a while it was really just straight and long so I got her to get a semi-bob style not a short short bob but about mid-neck in the back and accurately longer in the front. She looks SO cute :)
what about a fench bob? bands and neck lenghthed hair, also she shouldnt darken her hair, lighter colours will make her look younger and if she has thin hair than highlightes will add volume. :)
