I what something edgy or trend not plain and boring.What are is a good hair style for an 18 year old guy?
There is something called an Asian Mullet, it's edgy. There's also a haircut like Zac Efron's.

If your hair is straight, cut it to your eyebrows and use gel to make the ends turn, or curl slightly. It's really trendy and by far my favorite hairstyle.



Another one is the faux hawk. Talk to your hair stylist about it. It may be a little immature for your age, but maybe not.
