[Sims 2] Is it possible to convert a female hair style into a male hair style?

I possess a female hair style that fits perfectly with my desired male sim. Is it possible to allow ';him'; to wear it? Help is much appreciated![Sims 2] Is it possible to convert a female hair style into a male hair style?
Yes it is possible, but you have to use SimPE. Free download: http://sims.ambertation.de/

Basically using SimPE you have to make a new recolour of the existing hair, and change the gender field and property sets. You also must give it a new name and fix the mesh- 3D modelling experience is helpful.
