I need to know how to do 60's hair styles!?

For halloween i am going to be a pink lady. I want to do my hair, but i only have a large barrel curling iron (2';) and blow dryer and straightener. can anyone help me with step by step instructions of a 60's hairstyle?I need to know how to do 60's hair styles!?

this is the hair that most of them wore, very very curly. i would say, after you have it dried: curl your hair with your curling iron and use hair spray. its really simple, and i bet your costume rocks!I need to know how to do 60's hair styles!?
I believe that the Pink Ladies were 50's, not 60's... But in any case....





You need lots of curl, and I don't think that a large barrell curling iron would do much for you... I would suggest borrowing or buying curlers. (the kind you sleep in, they're only a couple bucks)



What you'll want to do is take a shower the night before halloween (if you want to wear your costume all day) and put the curlers in all over your head (all of your hair should be in curlers) while your hair is still damp. Then sleep with them in, brush out your hair with, and tease it with a fine toothed comb if you want it to stand up more, and then use lots of a fine mist hairspray, like AquaNet.



If you don't want to wear the costume all day, just dampen your hair witha spray bottle of some kind, and put the rollers in and blow dry it, then repeat the last steps.
curl your top layer of hair under using the straighteners- and back comb at the roots at the underneath of this first layer.

clip this all back ontop of your head- similar to a beehive..

then all the rest of your hair clip up at the back of your head with hair grips. Use lots of hairspray and a good thin-tooth comb when your back-combing your top layer



hopefully if should come out looking like this :)

and finally use your curlers to add some wave %26amp; definition to any wispy bits at the front of your face



add some 80's wayfarer sunglasses and your ready to go
