Hair Styles For 8th Grade Dance?

I have an 8th grade semi-formal dance next Friday. I still don't have a dress, but I'm more worried on my hair. My mom said I can get it done at the salon but I have no idea what I'd like to do with it! It is to the middle of my chest (very long), straight, brown, and thick. Pictures would be very helpful! Maybe you could put up your bangs, pull them taut, and tilt them to the side. Then poof to the level you like. Not many people do this, and this is very flattering to many various head shapes. I would also curl your hair in ringlets and put some super nice hairspray in. Another product that helps keep the ringlets in/ form your hair, is Garnier Fructis Style Fiber Gum Putty, which is about $6 or $7 at Wal-Mart. I would go for long and clean. Maybe i would choose if i was a girl/boy i would choose curly for a boy and bright/colorful/highights/or evan colors in it. If i was really cute i would choose just long and shiny
