What hair style should i go for prom?

My hair is long, a little above my waste line. And its in layers.

my dress is a gold strapless dress.

what whould look best?

Well down might be noce otherwise i love these and are ideal for long hair to keep it out the way but look real sophis

I agree that you may not get as hot if you wear it up, but if you don't put it up a lot or are worried it may not all stay/may get too heavy, then you could wear it half up in a bun or something. I've never had such long hair so maybe you could ask someone from a hair salon.
when you are wearing ANYTHING that shows your shoulder ALWAYS wear your hair up to show a longer neckline... and besides? have you ever seen anyone in a gown or whatever that ever wore their hair down?
Go simple if your dress is ornate. Something nice like a simple chignon or updo might be nice.
You should where it any way that you feel comfortable and if you get hot fast then i would where it up.
