My hair is really long, almost to my waist and have almost naturally straight hair. I have short side bangs (about two inches under the eye brow and slanted) I have tried curling it, but I just can't get it to curl in the mornings. Does anybody know any more hair styles or how to curl my type of hair? What is an easy hair style for long, almost straight hair?
as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.
Try this tutorial out so you can see what I''m talking about:

Its for curling ur hair with the flat iron. What is an easy hair style for long, almost straight hair?
sometimes a good trim will do the trick your hair is long so the weight on it is pulling it down making it straight. curls would be hard to obtain if your hair is naturally straight..... but try to wash it and while it's wet shake your hair around tassel and flip it while you spray hair spray in it after play with it some more while blow drying it. that should also last you some days but when it starts to look nasty you should wash your hair don't try to wet it up, it wont be pretty!
If you want it a bit more curly / wavy, here's something you could try: Wash your hair, then put some sort of curling serum in it (something like Marc Daniels Go Curly). Dry it with a diffuser on the end of your hair dryer, scrunching it as you dry. Dry it to about 70% dry, then leave it to dry naturally, scrunching it occasionally until it's completely dry.
Hopefully this will work for you!
Another idea is to experiment with braids.. like this:

it looks really good with straight hair!
Instead of a curl you should try a wavy scrunched look. All you need is a good hair dryer with an ionic setting on it. I recommend helen of troy or the chi hair dryer. Then you need a diffuser with the fingers on it. Revlon has a universal diffuser. It looks like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/REVLON-Universal-CER/a>
Then you need a mousse. Your going to have to find the right one for your hair. Every mousse is different. Different mousses work for different hair types. Then all you do is put the mousse in your hair and scrunch a bit then dry your hair with the diffuser. Don't use your hands. Just use the diffuser and sort of mess your hair around with it while your drying your hair. Then if your hair doesn't keep style well just use a light weight hair spray and spritz your hair lightly once your done.
