A high ponytail always looks great!
Just try different styles with styling products, bobby pins, flat irons, curling irons, etc. Just have fun with it! Sometimes I'll try out new hair styles before I take a shower so if it looks like crap I don't have to worry about it. Pay attention to magazines, they'll have a lot of casual hair styles that will be school-appropriate. Good luck!
ok i love changin my hairstyles so here r some options:


-cute messy ponytail


-down and wavy. make bangs flip out in the front


-half up half down with bangs or front hair to the side


-the puff with a ponytail


-braids but make them not perfect


-curl ur hair then move it around everywher so it looks natural


-straighten ur hair nicely


-change ur hair part. try switchin sides
