How do I change my hair style?

My hair is naturally straight, and it seems like I cant do anything with it. I'm sick of it. How do I give my hair a little bit more volume and curliness without getting a perm?



When I curl it it gets straight during the day. Is there anyway to change this and make it look more of a natural curly look?How do I change my hair style?
buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.



and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know about the cut i might have to see the shape of your face, sry....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

as for hairbands, very cute and in!!! definitely!!!

you could get layers to give it a wavy look with some gel it would look nice
Yes, I feel your pain. I also have straight hair, and I love curling. I found out that if you use hairspray, it stays for almost the whole day. If you don't move around a lot, it can stay from 4-6 hours. I use the non-scented Suave hairspray.
straight hair is the best to change. easier to go mold into something else. keep it striaght

you can buy shampoo that makes your hair curlier, Target carries it and it works there is also products you can put in it that you put it in then twist your hair and it holds, drugstores and target carry these and then whaloo
mousse..scrunching gel or a large barrel curling iron..try pantene for the mousse and scrunching gel it smells delicious and works well w/o looking un-natural and greasy

try extra hair spray. Have you tried curlers instead of a curling iron? My friend has hair like yours and she uses them instead and extra hair spray. It looks really cute on her!!
Coming from a guy, most of us think straight hair looks alot better. Curly hair reminds us of old ladys and little girls with freckles. It's up to you, but I'm just saying...

use a big round curling iron, or to what i do, use heating rag rollers over night and then use ';salon La Coupe perfect curls frizz-barrier'; hairspray, it looks sooooo natural, it's not even funny, no clumps, no gloop. and no stickiness or hardening what-so-ever. my hair is exactly like yours, so i know what i'm talking about lol. i got both of these products from ULTA
Well I remember when I was little my hair was like that and I liked to use the curlers so it will probably work on yours because your hair sounds like mine used to be when I was little.
