What does it mean when people say frame around your face in hair styling?

I am going to get my hair cut for a special event and my friend said I should frame my bangs around my face. The problem is I don't know what that means. Help Me!!!What does it mean when people say frame around your face in hair styling?

when you frame hair around the the face it means to cut the hair at an angle so that when styled it lays around the face from shorter to longer as it eventually blends into the length of your hair. when framing the bangs it would entail a shorter area in the middle and then the bangs would gradually get longer as they come out to the sides. i would ask your hairstylist if she thinks it would look good on you. the good thing about it is if you are only framing your bangs if you don't care for it the next time you get them cut you can cut them straight. there is no great commitment. i hope this helps

like if your face shape was awkwardly long they would do a hair cut that makes it not seem so long. so basically it just means it makes you look better. ';to frame your face';
It means when the hairstyle shapes your face,like sometimes it will go towards your face.If you still have problems ask a hairdresser
