Well, i have the same type of hair, i usually do a quiff and pull the rest back in a pony tail with gel( nyxon gel you can purchase from any black hair shop) or you could wear a head wrap and wear your hair out using moose (soft and free) to have the curly affect or jus wet it.
Yu could Also straighten it..! Or you could blow dry your hair nd wear a big bush in one.
